Aaron has served at Oak Hill Baptist Church since October 2008. During that time he has led adult Sunday School classes and adult Life Groups (Wednesday night discipleship groups). He currently is responsible for Life Groups, the website, blog, social media, and other various things at Oak Hill.
Before coming back to Georgia, Aaron served at North Fort Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas as the Associate Minister of Education. During his time there he helped to start Cell Groups in the homes of church members and led adult Sunday School and Life Groups.
Aaron graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007 with a Masters of Arts in Christian Education. He graduated from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, GA with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Rhetoric in 2004. (What is rhetoric? Did he make that up?) He has served in the ministry since 2002, starting as the Youth & Children’s Minister at Tennille Baptist Church in Tennille, GA. He has served in various capacities from Youth Minister to Worship Leader over the past 11 years.
Aaron met his amazing gorgeous wife (see above) Natalie at GC&SU and they dated throughout college. They married in June of 2004 and have three adorable cats. Natalie works and serves the Lord as a charge nurse at the ICU at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin.
Aaron grew up in Augusta, Georgia and at Warren Baptist Church. Aaron is passionate about teaching other’s the truth contained within God’s word. His spiritual gifts are teaching, wisdom, and discernment. He loves writing Bible studies and teaching God’s Word. His desire is that Oak Hill would be a place where discipleship is taken seriously and spiritual growth would happen naturally as believers invest in each others lives and in the word of God.
Aaron is a huge Superman fan, likes to play the guitar and the mandolin, and loves technology, the internet, and especially Apple products.
